Wilderness Hike

Come explore the backcountry trails of the Rocky Mountain wilderness. Enjoy a peaceful streamside hike through aspen groves to a waterfall, or climb a gradual high altitude trail to a summit ridge with panoramic views. Learn the different flora and fauna that live in the varied landscape of the White River National Forest, in addition to local history and folklore.
Full day tours with picnic lunch available upon request.

Vail Pass Bike Cruise

Enjoy a leisurely, predominantly downhill, ride with magnificent views from the summit of Vail Pass down through the White River National Forest. Ride this paved path past waterfalls, lakes and creeks as it winds its way down through lush woods and vast meadows. We’ll coast through East Vail, Vail Golf Course, Ford Amphitheater and Betty Ford gardens before returning to the hotel in the heart of Vail Village.

Bikin’ to Breckenridge

This tour follows the paved recreation path from Vail Pass summit, 23 miles, to the charming Victorian town of Breckenridge. The first 13 miles wind down hill paralleling Ten Mile Creek, through open meadows and colorful aspen groves. Take a coffee break in Frisco before pedaling the 10 miles of rolling and gently climbing terrain through pine and fir forests to the old ski town of Breckenridge. Here you can take a stroll, eat lunch or simply relax before shuttling back to Vail.

Glenwood Canyon Bike Tour

Begin with a 45 minute drive west to the awesome Glenwood Canyon. We’ll start riding on the east end of the Canyon following the paved recreational path along the Colorado River. We’ll admire
fascinating views of the towering sandstone cliffs while watching white water enthusiasts paddle down river. Several rest stops comfort us before reaching our destination in the historical town of Glenwood Springs.
Note: Can include a 2.5 mile, round trip, hike to Hanging Lake. (additional fee of $20 per person)

Shrine Pass Bike Adventure

This backcountry adventure is on a well grated, dirt road which winds through high country pine and
aspen, past old homesteader cabins and spectacular views of Mount of the Holy Cross. An optional 2 mile climb is followed by 10 miles of glorious downhill. Our journey takes us to the old mining town of Red Cliff where we will visit popular bar before shuttling back to the hotel.

Beginning Bike Tour

Enjoy a leisurely ride from the Sonnenalp Resort of Vail to East Vail. We will bike the gradual six miles out to East Vail then coast back down to the resort. This trip will be a round trip of 12 miles in length. It should take approximately 2 hours.

Guests must sign up with the concierge, by 9:00pm the evening before their tour. Guests must cancel by 9:00pm the evening before their tour or they will be charged a cancellation fee of $50.

Who should participate: Tours are not recommended for children 12 and under.
What should you bring: Dress for summer, but bring light jacket and pants to wear over T-shirt and shorts. Gloves, sunglasses, camera, sunscreen and sturdy shoes for hikes.
