The Sonnenalp’s Scramble Against Cancer Golf Tournament

Trail Running Series

Named Colorado's "Best Race Series" by Colorado Runner Magazine in 2005 and 2008, the La Sportiva Vail Mountain Trail Running Race Series has fast become an iconic event taking runners up and over trails, mountain roads, through fields and streams in and around Vail for the past 12 years.

The 2010 La Sportiva Mountain Trail Running Race Series will take runners on approximately 52 miles for a total elevation gain of 16,475 feet.

First-Ever Vail Kids Adventure Race

Saturday, August 7, 2010
Adventurous, rope-swinging, mountain biking and independent kids are encouraged to participate in the Vail Recreation District's (VRD) first-annual Vail Kids Adventure Race, taking place in Vail Village and on Vail Mountain and its surrounding wilderness and creeks. During this inaugural race, kids ages six through 12 will team up into pairs and learn the thrill of adventure racing while they participate in a variety of outdoor sports and challenges including mountain biking, hiking, tubing, archery, a low ropes course, a zip line, Tarzan rope, slip-n-slide and more.
