

The Sonnenalp welcomes Luke Callaghan as the new general manager of Balata restaurant at the Sonnenalp Golf Club in Edwards.
Callaghan is no stranger to the Vail Valley; he worked at Vail Cascade Resort and Spa for six years before moving to Hawaii where he helped managed several hotels and restaurants including the Grand Wailea Resort and Spa in Maui. Callaghan spent 11 years in Maui before deciding that returning to Colorado was the right move for him and his family.
"I'm happy to be back in the valley and be part of such a hard working team," said Callaghan. "We have fun and innovative ideas to bring to the table this season and I’m excited for what the future holds."
Callaghan traded surfing for snowboarding and enjoys backcountry hiking and fishing in his spare time.
